Binding - Modified concertina

Miniature book on the monarch butterfly made using: archival mat board covers with title printed on Milkweed paper and a color strip of a butterfly wing, pages are miniature scanning electron microscope micrographs highlighting the structure and tissues of these remarkable insects printed on pages and sewn to a folded spine of a decorative black paper with Habu orange silk and steel thread with strands protruding the spine as decoration. Exhibited in the juried Art of the Book 2018 show by the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild (CBBAG).
